perldoc.perl.org contains the official documentation for Perl 5, in HTML and PDF formats.
The site has many useful features such as syntax highlighting of code examples, a client-side search engine, and floating navigation panels. The complete documentation set can also be downloaded for offline use.
The Perl documentation is maintained by the Perl 5 Porters and released with each version of Perl. So if you want to contribute or if you find any errors in the documentation, join the Perl 5 Porters mailing list and report the problem there.
If you come across any issues with the perldoc.perl.org website itself (e.g. formatting errors, missing pages, etc) then contact me at jj@jonallen.info, or raise an issue on the GitHub repository.
Yes, the perldoc.perl.org source code is available on GitHub.
I'm planning to extend the site over the next few months to cover all versions of Perl, at least as far back as Perl 5.8.0.
For consistency with Perl installations, perldoc.perl.org only contains the documentation that was included with each release of Perl.
CPAN module documentation is available from http://search.cpan.org, and translations of the Perl core documentation are available at http://perldoc.org.
Go to http://perldoc.perl.org/preferences.html and change the toolbar style from fixed to standard.
I'd recommend that you upgrade to Internet Explorer 8 or download an alternative browser such as Firefox, Safari, or Google Chrome.
If it is not possible for you to upgrade and you would like to support the development of an IE6 compatible version of the site, please contact me to discuss.
